Language College Status
Our Specialist School status is important to our pupils, staff, the community which we serve and beyond. A language specialism has allowed our pupils to gain qualifications in Arabic, Bengali, Dutch, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Panjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Yoruba.
Pupils can leave Broadway School with two or more foreign language qualifications.
As well as supporting our own pupils, staff at Broadway School have supported language work in our Local Primary and Secondary Schools. Pupils at Bishop Vesey School and Handsworth Grammar School have benefited from our specialism, to name but two.
Every year we run a Gifted and Talented (G & T) session for our local secondary partners which has included Russian and Chinese Taster Days, and this year we are running a G & T day for French to provide stretch and Challenge to pupils in the North West Birmingham schools that offer French.
